Biological Age Calculator

About this project

Almost everyone understands chronological age. Very few people have any sense of how well their body is actually holding up. This project exists to make that second idea approachable for ordinary people, without a laboratory, a blood test or a subscription.

Our mission

We want to build the clearest, most trustworthy biological age experience on the internet. Not the one that makes the boldest claim, and not the one that asks the most questions. The one that people actually understand and come back to.

That means being useful in under a minute, explaining every result in plain language, and being straightforward about the parts we cannot know.

Why the calculator exists

Most biological age calculators open with a long questionnaire and end with a bare number and no explanation. The effort comes first and the value comes last, which is precisely backwards.

We inverted it. You choose how much to share. A selfie takes about thirty seconds. The lifestyle questionnaire takes about two minutes and requires no photograph at all. Providing more information improves the estimate, but nothing is ever mandatory, and every path gives you a real result.

How we think about privacy

Asking someone for a photograph of their face is a serious request, and we treat it that way. Photographs are processed to produce your estimate and then discarded. Nothing is written to a database, because there is no database. There are no accounts, no result history and no photo archive.

This is a deliberate architectural decision rather than a policy we could quietly change. The application has nowhere to store your data. If that ever changes, it will be an explicit, documented decision with your consent attached to it.

What this tool does not do

Honesty about limitations is more valuable to us than a stronger marketing claim, so it is worth being direct.

  • This is not a medical device. It cannot diagnose, treat or rule out any condition, and it is not a substitute for a qualified healthcare professional.
  • The estimate is a heuristic. There is no validated clinical model that takes a selfie and a short lifestyle questionnaire as its input, so we do not pretend to reproduce one.
  • Facial analysis carries meaningful error. We account for that by allowing it to influence the result only modestly, and by always showing a range rather than a single confident number.
  • Self-reported answers are imperfect. People misjudge their own sleep and activity, and we cannot correct for that.
  • The result is not a prediction of your lifespan, and it should never be read as one.

What it can do is give you a clear, consistent and encouraging view of the habits that are most strongly associated with long-term health, and point you toward the ones worth your attention.

How results are produced

Every estimate comes from a deterministic scoring engine. The same inputs always produce the same result, and every contributing factor can be traced. No language model decides your number. That keeps results reproducible, testable and explainable, which matters more to us than sophistication.
